Terms of Service

By creating an account or using any feature of RYVE, you confirm that:

• You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in full.
• You agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
• If you are using the App on behalf of an organisation, you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

These Terms form a binding legal contract between you and Aroh Labs. We may update these Terms from time to time; your continued use of the App after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

RYVE is a comprehensive fitness operating system that combines workout tracking, AI-powered nutrition logging, body composition monitoring, intelligent check-ins, and personalised coaching through Coach Ryve, our AI assistant.

Core features include, but are not limited to:

• Workout Logging: Log strength, cardio, and custom workouts; track sets, reps, weights, and personal records.
• Nutrition Tracking: Log meals and foods via barcode scan, AI-powered photo/description recognition, or manual search (USDA and Open Food Facts databases). Track macronutrients, calories, hydration, and supplements.
• Body & Progress Monitoring: Track weight, body measurements, progress photos, and estimated body composition over time.
• Daily Check-ins: Morning energy, sleep quality, water intake, and gym attendance check-ins to provide holistic context to your fitness journey.
• Coach Ryve: A conversational AI coach powered by GPT-4o/4o-mini that provides personalised insights, responses, and guidance based on your logged data.
• Stats & Intelligence: Weekly summaries, lift progression analysis, body trend reports, and RYVE Intelligence Briefs.
• Onboarding Personalisation: Goal setting, activity level, training days, and schedule preferences collected at setup to personalise your experience.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the Service as a whole at any time, with or without notice, though we will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes.

To use RYVE, you must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

• Age: You must be at least 17 years of age or older. RYVE is not intended for children under 13. If we discover that a user is under 13, we will immediately terminate their account and delete all associated data.
• Legal Capacity: You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
• Not Previously Banned: You must not have been previously banned or removed from RYVE for violations of these Terms.
• Jurisdiction: You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with all laws and regulations applicable in your country or region.

By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the above eligibility requirements. Providing false information about your age or identity is a violation of these Terms.

You may register for RYVE using your email address and a password, or via Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0 with PKCE). When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Maintain the accuracy of your account information and update it as necessary.
• Keep your password and account credentials strictly confidential.
• Not share your account with, or transfer your account to, any other person.
• Notify us immediately at support@thearohlabs.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to or use of your account.

You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Aroh Labs will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials or to promptly report unauthorised use.

Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts, including to circumvent a ban or restriction, is prohibited.

You agree to use RYVE only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial fitness and wellness purposes. You must not:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of the App or its backend systems.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access, query, or extract data from the App or its APIs.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems, servers, databases, or accounts associated with RYVE.
• Introduce any malware, viruses, ransomware, or other harmful code into the App or its infrastructure.
• Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security features, authentication mechanisms, or access controls.
• Use RYVE to promote, advertise, or solicit commercial products or services to other users.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Use Coach Ryve to solicit medical diagnoses, prescriptions, or any advice that substitutes for professional medical care.
• Exploit any bugs, vulnerabilities, or unintended functionality in the App. We ask that you disclose any security vulnerabilities responsibly to security@thearohlabs.com.

Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension or termination, and may expose you to civil or criminal liability.

Coach Ryve is RYVE's conversational AI assistant, powered by OpenAI's GPT-4o and GPT-4o-mini language models via a secure Supabase Edge Function proxy. By using Coach Ryve, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Not a Professional: Coach Ryve is an AI language model. It is not a doctor, licensed physician, registered dietitian, certified personal trainer, or any other licensed professional. Its responses must not be treated as professional advice of any kind.
• AI Errors:AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or contextually wrong. Coach Ryve may "hallucinate" — produce plausible-sounding but factually incorrect information. Always verify important claims independently.
• Context Window: Coach Ryve operates on a contextual snapshot of your logged data (recent workouts, nutrition, check-ins, body stats, goals). It does not have access to your full health history, family history, or any data outside the App.
• Data Transmission: When you interact with Coach Ryve, relevant portions of your fitness data are transmitted to OpenAI via our secure proxy. By using Coach Ryve, you consent to this processing as described in our Privacy Policy.
• No Emergency Use: RYVE and Coach Ryve are not designed for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, stop using the App and contact emergency services immediately.
• Fitness of Use: Coach Ryve is designed specifically for fitness and nutrition topics. Using it for purposes outside this scope may yield unhelpful or unreliable results.
• OpenAI Terms:Use of Coach Ryve is also subject to OpenAI's Terms of Use and Usage Policies.

You own your data.All personal data, fitness logs, nutrition entries, workout records, body measurements, progress photos, and other content you input into RYVE ("User Content") remains your property.

By using the App, you grant Aroh Labs a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to access, store, process, and use your User Content solely for the purposes of:

• Providing, operating, and improving the App and its features.
• Generating personalised insights, reports, and Coach Ryve responses for you.
• Maintaining technical infrastructure (backups, caching, synchronisation).
• Complying with legal obligations.

We do not sell your User Content or use it to train AI models without your explicit consent. We do not share your personal health data with third-party advertisers.

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you input into the App. You represent that you have all necessary rights to provide such content, and that it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

You may export or request deletion of your data at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy and Section 15 of these Terms.

RYVE may request the following device permissions. Each permission is optional in the sense that denying it will only limit the specific feature it enables — it will not prevent you from using the rest of the App.

You may manage or revoke permissions at any time through your device's operating system settings. Progress photos are stored locally on your device and are only transmitted to our servers if explicitly shared or backed up. Camera access is used in real-time and images used for AI food recognition are sent to our AI proxy but are not stored permanently.

RYVE integrates with the following third-party services to deliver its features. Your use of the App is also subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies of these services.

  Backend infrastructure — database, authentication, real-time sync, storage, and Edge Functions (AI proxy).

Aroh Labs is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party services. We encourage you to review their policies. We select our service providers carefully and require them to handle data in a manner consistent with our Privacy Policy.

All content, design, code, algorithms, trade secrets, logos, trademarks, service marks, brand names, visual design, user interface layouts, copywriting, and other intellectual property within RYVE and the Aroh Labs brand are the exclusive property of Aroh Labs or its licensors, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in or to the App or Aroh Labs' intellectual property, except for the limited licence to use the App as expressly set out in these Terms.

You specifically agree not to:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, or publicly display any part of the App without written authorisation.
• Create derivative works based on the App or its design.
• Use RYVE's name, logo, or branding in any way that implies endorsement or affiliation without prior written consent.
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices displayed within the App.

If you believe any content within the App infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at legal@thearohlabs.com.

RYVE offers both free features and a RYVE Premium subscription that unlocks additional functionality. Certain features may also be available as one-time in-app purchases. By initiating a purchase, you agree to the pricing and terms displayed at the time of checkout.

Subscriptions

• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions are auto-renewing. Your payment method will be charged at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Free Trials: Where offered, free trials automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand. You will not be charged during the trial.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings (Android) or Apple ID account settings (iOS). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to premium features until then. Cancelling does not entitle you to a refund of any already-charged period.
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. If we do, we will notify you in advance through the App or by email. Continued use after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

In-App Purchases

• One-time in-app purchases are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or platform policy.
• Purchases are tied to your store account (Google Play or App Store) and are non-transferable.

Platform Billing

• All purchases are processed by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS) and are subject to their respective terms and payment policies. Aroh Labs does not directly handle your payment card information.
• Subscription management and refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. For Google Play purchases, refund requests are subject to Google's refund policy. Contact us at support@thearohlabs.com if you need assistance.

Taxes

Displayed prices may or may not include applicable taxes (GST, VAT, etc.) depending on your region. Any applicable taxes will be shown at checkout before you confirm a purchase.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RYVE AND ALL RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE.

Aroh Labs specifically disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability: We do not warrant that the App is of satisfactory quality or fit for any particular purpose.
• Fitness for a Particular Purpose: We make no warranty that the App will meet your specific fitness, nutrition, or health goals.
• Accuracy: We do not warrant that nutritional data, body composition estimates, AI responses, or any other App-generated content is accurate, complete, or up-to-date.
• Uptime & Availability: We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times, uninterrupted, or error-free. Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance may affect availability.
• Security: While we implement industry-standard security measures, we cannot guarantee that the App is completely immune to security breaches.
• AI Reliability: We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or appropriateness of any response generated by Coach Ryve.

Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion of certain implied warranties. In such jurisdictions, some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AROH LABS, ITS FOUNDERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Loss of profits, data, revenue, goodwill, or anticipated savings.
• Physical injury, health complications, or medical expenses arising from your use of the App.
• Reliance on any AI-generated content from Coach Ryve.
• Service interruptions, data loss, or errors resulting from third-party service failures.
• Unauthorised access to your account resulting from your failure to secure your credentials.

These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if Aroh Labs has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

WHERE TOTAL LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW, AROH LABS' AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO AROH LABS IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) INR 1,000.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of liability for certain types of damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

By You: You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by navigating to Settings → Account → Delete Account within the App. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Upon deletion, we will:

• Permanently delete all your personal data, fitness logs, nutrition records, progress photos, and body data from our active systems within 30 days.
• Remove your data from Supabase storage, authentication records, and all database tables associated with your account.
• Residual copies in encrypted backups will be purged within our standard backup rotation cycle (maximum 90 days).

By Aroh Labs: We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account and access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have:

• Violated any provision of these Terms.
• Engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
• Caused harm to other users, the App, or Aroh Labs.
• Provided false information during registration (e.g., misrepresented your age).

Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your licence to use the App immediately ceases. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Disclaimers, Governing Law, and Indemnification) shall survive termination.

You may also submit a data deletion request via email to privacy@thearohlabs.com if you are unable to access the in-app deletion feature.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Aroh Labs and its founders, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the App.
• Your violation of any provision of these Terms.
• Your violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Any content you input into the App that infringes a third party's rights.
• Any physical injury or health harm you suffer as a result of activities undertaken based on App content, including Coach Ryve responses.

Aroh Labs reserves the right to assume exclusive control of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate fully with our defence of any such claim.

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide advance notice by:

• Displaying a prominent notice within the App.
• Sending an email notification to the address associated with your account (for significant changes affecting your rights).
• Publishing updated Terms on this page at least 14 days before the changes take effect, for non-emergency updates.

Your continued use of the App after the effective date of any revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those Terms. If you do not agree to any revised Terms, you must stop using the App and may delete your account.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in relation to these Terms or the use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

Informal Resolution: Before initiating formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at legal@thearohlabs.com. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve your concern within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Union, you may also have the right to file a complaint with your local data protection authority or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform. If you are located in the United States (California), you may have additional rights under the CCPA as described in our Privacy Policy.
